Our natural swimming hole is an eco-friendly recreational water feature that uses a natural filtration system rather than traditional pool chemicals.
Unlike a conventional swimming pool, the swimming hole is designed to blend into the surrounding landscape and provide a more natural swimming experience. Guests must enter carefully using the designated access point with the railing and follow all posted safety rules.
The swimming hole is expected to Celebrate its grand opening in late June 2026. It operates seasonally from approximately late May through mid-October, weather permitting. Water temperatures vary naturally, offering ideal swimming in peak summer and a refreshing cold-plunge experience during late spring and early fall.
All guests, and parents or guardians of minors, must sign a Swimming Hole Safety Waiver and wear bands provided before access is granted. No jumping, diving, or running is permitted.
Yes. All cabins at Nature Mystique Retreat are pet-friendly.
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, guests must supervise pets at all times and clean up after them. As mentioned on the website booking page, we do Not allow aggressive breeds including but not limited to pit bulls, rottweilers, and other dogs or cats that you have as pets that are or have been aggressive toward others.
Pets are not permitted in or around:
- Natural swimming hole
- Beach areas
- Swimming hole decks
- Sauna area
- Any onsite bodies of water
Property pet policies include:
- Pets must not pose a threat to guests or staff.
- Pets must remain leashed in common areas.
- Owners are fully responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pets.

Nature Mystique Retreat – Forest
Welcome to the Shire! These “hobbit holes” are every LOTR fan’s dream. The perfect little getaway spot to unplug and escape from reality. The views are picturesque and the accommodations are idyllic.
I would highly recommend a steam in the sauna on the property. I didn’t know I needed it, but by the end of the weekend I was wishing I could take the sauna home with me.
The management was so friendly and helpful. You can tell they truly value their guests. They even provided us with great spots to eat and sights to see. They are perfectly located within driving distance of ash cave and old man’s cave and a few local wineries as well. Cannot recommend these earthen houses highly enough. We will be returning again for sure.

Nature Mystique Retreat – Daisy
My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay in the Hobbit home, Daisy. It was super clean, comfy, and full of magic! The hot tub, sauna, lights, grill, and fire pits make the outside just as appealing as inside the home! Also, the owners are some of the best people we’ve ever met. Pictures do not do this place justice!! Book it. You will not regret it!!!

Nature Mystique Retreat – Dalia
The first impression was just WOW! The stay was incredible and the house was super super cute! It was very clean and it offered all ammeneties that one may need. Even though it is in a secluded area it has good wi-fi . The house offers privacy and peace. But the most mesmerizing experience was watching the stars from the hot tub. It’s a perfect distance from all hiking trails. The whole property it’s very nicely decorated and the hosts have put much love into it ! Mervet was extremely helpful and she gave us great tips for the area. Her hospitality made us feel like home. We can’t wait to go back! This place is a MUST when you visit Ohio!

Nature Mystique Retreat – Aspen
When I found this location I was stressed to the max, energy drained, and booked it because I was too exhausted to keep searching. It was meant to be. This little oasis was so peaceful, comforting, and honestly perfect. Every detail was thought of when the owner decided to rent it out. Towels, wine, incredibly soft blankets, wood for the hot tub and fire pit, internet, tv with all of the streaming services, it was perfect. I didn’t know how much I needed to find this little hobbit hole. 3 nights here and I was revived, energy back to baseline. After booking I received an email with directions on how everything works and the owner made sure I had everything I needed. If you need to get away, even for just a day or 2, please do yourself a favor and just book it. I can’t wait to visit again and bring my husband.
