Nature Mystique Retreat – Forest
This place was incredible! Hands down the most unique place in the hocking hills area to stay at. I loved the hobbit house I stayed in and the Moroccan themed one was just as impressive! The hot tubs and sauna were a perfect place to relax in. Only took a few minutes to get to hocking hills state park from there too! Owners are the nicest people I’ve ever met. This place is a 10/10 and I can’t wait to come back!

If you’re a LOTR fan or just looking for a peaceful place to stay don’t pass this up! It’s only minutes away from Hocking Hills and the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking. The wood burning cedar hot tub on a chilly winter night was heaven. The bed was comfortable and my husband and I slept so well. The pictures to this review are of The Forest.

Nature Mystique Retreat – Forest
Welcome to the Shire! These “hobbit holes” are every LOTR fan’s dream. The perfect little getaway spot to unplug and escape from reality. The views are picturesque and the accommodations are idyllic. I would highly recommend a steam in the sauna on the property. I didn’t know I needed it, but by the end of the weekend I was wishing I could take the sauna home with me. The management was so friendly and helpful. You can tell they truly value their guests. They even provided us with great spots to eat and sights to see. They are perfectly located within driving distance of ash cave and old man’s cave and a few local wineries as well. Cannot recommend these earthen houses highly enough. We will be returning again for sure.
