What is the natural swimming hole, and what should guests expect?
Our natural swimming hole is an eco-friendly recreational water feature that uses a natural filtration system rather than traditional pool chemicals.
Unlike a conventional swimming pool, the swimming hole is designed to blend into the surrounding landscape and provide a more natural swimming experience. Guests must enter carefully using the designated access point with the railing and follow all posted safety rules.
The swimming hole is expected to celebrate its grand opening in late June 2026. It operates seasonally from approximately late May through late September, weather permitting. Water temperatures vary naturally, offering ideal swimming in peak summer and a refreshing cold-plunge experience during late spring and early fall.
All guests, and parents or guardians of minors, must sign a Swimming Hole Safety Waiver and wear bands provided before access is granted. No jumping, diving, or running is permitted.

Are your Hocking Hills cabins pet-friendly?
Yes. All cabins at Nature Mystique Retreat are pet-friendly.
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, guests must supervise pets at all times and clean up after them. As mentioned on the website booking page, we do Not allow aggressive breeds including but not limited to pit bulls, rottweilers, and other dogs or cats that you have as pets that are or have been aggressive toward others.
Pets are not permitted in or around:
- Natural swimming hole
- Beach areas
- Swimming hole decks
- Sauna area
- Any onsite bodies of water
Property pet policies include:
- Pets must not pose a threat to guests or staff.
- Pets must remain leashed in common areas.
- Owners are fully responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pets.
Is Nature Mystique Retreat family-friendly?
Yes. Families love our fantasy-themed Hobbit homes and Aladdin-inspired cabins.
Because the retreat is located within a natural environment, the property is not child-proofed. Adult supervision is required at all times, particularly near water features, rocks, trails, and outdoor activity areas.
Guests must follow all posted safety signs and rules. Running, jumping, and diving are prohibited in designated activity areas.
What are your nightly rental rates?
Nightly rates vary by season, cabin type, and day of the week.
• Winter rates start at approximately $239 per night.
• Summer and Fall rates start at approximately $330 per night.

What is your cancellation policy?
Guests receive a full refund minus a 3.5% payment processing fee when reservations are cancelled in writing at least **31 days prior** to arrival.

Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
Early check-in and late check-out may be available depending on occupancy and staffing availability.
An additional fee applies to cover supplemental housekeeping and scheduling requirements.

Do you host weddings, yoga retreats, or private events?
Yes. Nature Mystique Retreat features a dedicated outdoor wedding and event venue that can be booked separately from overnight accommodations.

- Available approximately May through October
- Accommodates up to 50 guests
- Ideal for weddings, yoga retreats, wellness events, and private gatherings
- Separate venue rental fee applies

Are the outdoor grills gas or charcoal?
All outdoor grills at Nature Mystique Retreat are gas-powered, so there is no need to purchase or bring charcoal.
Most grills are shared between two cabins. The Tangier Cabin includes its own private dedicated grill.
If your assigned grill is occupied, guests are welcome to use any available grill throughout the Hobbit and Adobe cabin areas.
