Sleeping Better and Eating Better
Something about a hotel that makes everything better. The beds are better, the sheets are better and the pillows are oh so comfy. Take advantage of these comfy rooms to get your full eight hours of sleep. It can be difficult to do when at home but vacation is your time. It is your time to do as much or as little as you want depending on your mood. A good nights’ sleep is one of the best things you can do for yourself. There are so many benefits to a good nights’ sleep. It helps with mood and concentration. Furthermore, it also promotes better overall health, lowering your risk for certain health issues. Yes, all that just from sleeping.
Everything tastes better on vacation. Yes, people generally splurge on vacation, more desserts perhaps or larger portion sizes at the restaurants. If you don’t indulge on vacation, then when? Although that is certainly understandable, there are a few things you can do. Drinking plenty of water while you are out and about is great. Taking healthy snacks like nuts and healthy bars for your travels is really helpful. It will keep your metabolism going and your energy level up so you don’t miss a thing.

On our retreat, we focus on wellness as well. We made sure to add a sauna onsite to our retreat with breathtaking views. There are a tremendous amount of health benefits to the sauna experience. In addition, it’s one of the most pleasurable and enjoyable things you can do for yourself. It is important to check with your primary doctor to see that the sauna experience is right for you.
