Taking vacation time and being away from work is vital for your well-being, level of productivity and effectiveness at work. Although we have gotten better in recent years, Americans are known for passing up on taking vacation time saving companies millions in vacation every year. I know plenty of people that haven’t taken vacation in several years. There are so many benefits to taking vacation so start planning your next vacation getaway and here’s why.
Making Connections Having Fun Making Memories
I can’t say enough about the incredible enjoyment a vacation getaway brings. Without all the distractions and things that need your attention, you have a chance to spend time with your favorite people or meet new people that may end up being lifelong friendships. You have this great chance to make more meaningful connections and have wonderful experiences. Personally, I am all about taking photos and videos while on vacation so I can capture these moments. I want to grab on to these great experiences. These digital creations are my most prized possessions and I look at them often.
This is one of the main reasons we created Nature Mystique Retreat. I have so many memories of vacations with my family growing up. Now I am making new memories with my husband because he shares my love of travel. We hope you join us at Nature Mystique Retreat’s Magical Earth Retreat and make these incredible memories with your favorite people or as a solo adventure.
Vacation Promotes Better Sleep
We hear from so many guests that they never slept as good as when staying in our retreat. It is easier to sleep better without the constant day to day worries filling your brain. Yes, life’s stresses are still there but we all need a break from the hustle and bustle. So many people have disrupted sleep because of all the things twirling around in our minds and all the stimulation around us. There’s a great sleep study by New Zealand Air that had participants wear wrist monitoring devices three days before vacation then on vacation and three days after they came back. Participants showed greater sleep quality, more sleep time and over 30% higher reaction times. It doesn’t hurt that we have these very comfortable green tea infused therapeutic mattresses that you will just love.
Vacation Relieves Stress, Boost Creativity and Brain Power
Stress increases your cortisol levels and overtime high degrees of continued stress can make you more likely to suffer from health issues like heart disease. So vacation is important for wellness.
Our outdoor Meditation space has been a great addition for guests in helping to relieve stress. It is surrounded by a beautiful pond, overlooking these vibrant green trees and the peaceful sounds of nature. A very calming backdrop for meditation.
Sometimes you just need to step away from something in order for the ideas to percolate. Has someone ever told you that? New surroundings and time away from work can boost creativity, focus and brain power. If you listen to some of the most creative minds of our time, they came up with ideas when they were away from the office and away from the daily grind.
Vacation is a time to reward yourself for everything you do. Take time to relax, decompress, focus on your well-being and happiness.
